Uncovering the Legends That Hold the Key to Magic’s Survival

This is my first real lead since I got here. Brandon burst into the apartment last night, his arms full of papers, articles, and books. He works for Denhaven University, specializing in myths and legends, and the Order has called him in to debrief them on Oracle lore. He’s so excited, he hasn’t sat down for more than 5 seconds since he got here. From what I’ve gathered, there’s been a long line of Oracles, all important to Denhaven in different ways. But the animal world has been without an Oracle for some time. Longer than usual, I think. I have so many questions and Brandon is in no state to answer them. The last time I asked, he threw a book of Oracle legends at me and told me to look it up myself.

This is a side of Brandon I haven’t seen before, he is usually so calm and collected. Being called to the Order for his expertise is a big deal, and he is obviously both excited and anxious. What he did tell me was that the Oracle everyone has been waiting for has an important connection to the magic. I am going to tuck myself out of the way with the book he gave me and see what I can find out for myself while he frantically prepares to go to Order HQ tomorrow. How I wish I could go with him.
